In our co., 50% of the workers are not interested in ESI, even when their amount is being deducted for ESI, they don't use it. And they would like to go for mediclaim instead ESI. So, they want to cancel ESI. Their salaries are above Rs. 7000/-. What is the procedure to cancel ESI for those persons. Kindly advise.

Hi, Please educate them that as per Statutory Act, cancelation of ESI is not possible and contriution to same is mandatory.

My wife is working in a private company from fast 4 years and 8 months ... from last 4 months she has covered ESI. last month she delivered baby and they are fine.... i have been to ESI office to get maternity leave from and they givn us for 84 days her office they r not giving salary for 3 months , when i asked they told salary will given by ESI... when i checked with ESI dept, they told they will pay the salary only after 9 months if ESI detection and very clear that they wont pay... and they r telling that company will pay the salary ... she have lost 1 month salary now... and more over she near to her GRATUITY
Is there any law or act that the company has to pay the salary ..
pls help us
