What are the basis for the increment or appraisal of the employees when
it is going to done on yearly basis?Is there are any laws which we have to take into consideration during increment?

Hi Prachi
There is no law governing the increment excercise. However the salary after increment should not be lower than minimum wages rate.
Increment and appraisal are two different things. Appraisal process is for the measurement of competancy of an employee whereas increment is reward for acheiving parameters laid down in appraisal process.
In most of the organisations appraisal may happen two times in a year whereas increment happens only once in a year.

Actually I am working in a company where increment system is going on.
I have joined only one month before..............I want to know what should be the minimum amount for increment.
