What should be KRAs and compensation of COO of a mid size company (80-100 employees) in a metropolitan city in India?

To fix the KRA's first it should be clear what responsibilities and authorities are given to COO, Any performance is possible with given set of authorities to the people. Once this is clear then you can define specific KRA's for example to quote it can be

1- Achieve proper certifications required for products local or international depending on your market.
2- Achieve set of quality level by implementing various quality policies may be you can set certain PPM (Parts per million) target for production parts. Or you can set Right first time (RFT) over 90% or 95% but all this can be set only after knwing current level.
3- Set waste reduction which results into cost improvement
4- Set Effeciency improvement of equipments / manpower both again this needs to have basic existing data's to define targets.
5- Expand market share / Increase customers for the products
6- Supplier upgradation

These are all just superficial notes but as mentioned above need to know what all authorities he have.
