I wanted to know abt PF contribution latest calculation format and Gratuity.
1) when a organisation can start PF facility.
2) what can be the ability and creteria for PF.
3) calculation and which part contributes how?
4) years for employee to join
and about gratuity
please help me as you all have helped lot till now
please take little time and guide me about these things...
i am worried abt it.
i am from Gujarat and want help urgently.

Dear Amit,
1.As per the latest guidelines org. having more than 10 employees have to make contribution in PF.
2.PF is detucted on the basic salary.12% from the employee & 12% employer along with 1.16% adm cost to be incurred by the employer.
3. From the day the employee joins the org.
Grat. is given when the employees works for more than 5 yrs in the org. It is to be deposited in lic.

PF is applicable to an establishment where 20 workers are working or it can be voluntary application from the employer.
Employer contribution and Employee is 12 %, apart from this administration charge of 1.10 % and contribution to EDLI 0.5 % and 0.01 % is contributed by the Employer.
Gratuity is payable to an employee who has completed 5 years of service or on death of employee where service criteria is not applicable.
