in your payrol if you are having Rs.2335 basic salry then you should deduct by rs.280 for PF as 12% of basic and 4.75% of basic for ESIC as rs.186.

Hi,
For PF, the contribution from the employee is 12% of the basic restricted to a basic amount of 6500/-, if the basic+DA is more than 6500/- the employee and employer can forego the PF contribution by self will.
when it comes to payroll the employer's PF contribution is not shown.
For ESI the employee contribution is just 1.75% of Gross Salary for employees earning less than 10000/- and if the gross salary is more than this amount then ESI is not applicable.
