Sri Ravi,
Pl visit the concerneced government authorities offices in person by your self , discuss with the atuthority, and follow the instructions of them.
I believe that you are requred to deposit some Advance amount with the siad authority against your next comming liability of PF & EPS payable . the said depost will be adjust against your PF & ESIC payable contirbution liability. Means you shuold not loose a single rupee what ever you deposit with the Pf & ESIC Authority.

U need not pay Rs. 30k to 40k as registration of PF & ESI is very simple, just go the site & see the rquirements deocements for registration including the regisration fees whcih u need to pay it by DD. AFter completion of the reuireed doc. just Post the docs to the Commissioner directly with Registerd AD Post. I hv done the same & hv rece the registration no within 15days, need not to pay any one 30k or 40k

Hi Dear,

AS far as I know Esic has based on the salary paid. If the salary is paid upto certain limit then it is applicable. However, there are other thing that has to be noted that if ESIC is not applicable then workmen compensation Act is applicable. However, both the said act are mutually exclusive. i.e. either of the act is appilcable at any point of time the an employee. Please further note that the applicability is to employee and not to the Co. Both the act may be applicable to the Company.

Further, regarding P. F. its applicable since the first employee the Company employees. The only way to eliminate P.F. & E.S.I.C is to have the contract labour. In that case its would be liability of the contractor and not the Company. However, the Company become principal employer and would be laible for P. F. and E.S.I.C. If contractor doesnt pay. However, in the above case registration under P.f. & E.S.I.C. would not be required. I am a C.A. and have carried out a Complaince Audit of a "BIG" construction Co. The above views are based on the personal experiance.

You will be covered under the provisions of the ESI, if you are having the manpower of minimum 20 employees and they should be drawn below Rs.10,000=00. For which you have to submit your details in Form-01 to the concerned Regional Office with necessay documentary evidence. hey hi.
shocked i am, this 30,000/- to 40,000/- is an illegal requirement and under the table. 20 or more employees + a form given in teh end of the ESI PF acts would help you. it does not need to have so much of money paid so long as u r maintaining your record honestly. Peple who are in PF business will make u belive anything. :( I am a labour advisor myself with 15 years of exp. revert for any clarification as a friend. regards and all the best.
