hi, i making a project on hr practices in Tata Steel and any information about it please forward it to ramdas.aishwarya@gmail.com
let me tell u I do not have personal experience. however i am reproducing what i have heard from others.
1. Tata Steel works with 40% deptl workmen and 60% contractual workforce.
2 Personal attention to employee growth is sincere.
3.Training and retraining of all employees is a serious affair.
4.Hospital and Steel town maintainance is regularly done to enable the work men to work peacefully at plant /works while on duty.
5.It is a very good example of correct mix of advantages of private sector and a public sector industry.
6 many allowances are given But ensured that they are spent exactly for the purpose intended.e.g. A club allowance is given as a reimbursement of actuals spent at club only
