Hello all, can any body explain me the concept of "Leave calculation on Pro-rata Basis". It’s very urgent. please help me thanks in advance Nandini

Hi nandhini,Its very simple,First you please decide about the leave period , whether its a calender year or financial year, mostly it will be on calender year basis. Whatever it may be,You can devide the total no of leave for the year devided by 12 (i.e 12 months). you will arrive no of days leave per month.Then, you can calculate the employee who has completed no months service.You can mutiply the completed no of month with per month leave days.For Example, if you are providing 30 days PL/EL per annum to the employees.If any one joined during the month of may, he will be completed 8 months service in dec.Hence, 30/12 = 2.5 2.5 x8 = 20 DaysThe new employee is eligible for 20 days PL FOR THE 8 MONTHS.Hope it clarify your doubt.
