| Re: Production engineering Dear HS,
Following points can be considered while setting up of a cell.
1. Cell should comprise of two members each from Design and Manufacturing.
2. Cell should make a check list where in Design should mention what details will be given to Manufacturing as handing over and Manufacturing should come out with what details they will be requiring to replicate the out put.
3. Final check list should be drawn and sign off from both Head of Manufacturing and Head of Design should happen.
4. All documents like Standard Operating Procedures, Critical Quality parameters, Design Calculations, Equipment/Settings requirements, Quality Checks, Flow Charts, Cost of Manufacturing (Per Unit), Utilities requirement Calculations, Design drawings if any, Log Sheet, Process Validation Details, should be part of check list.
5. Number of trial runs should be defined in the initial stage. This will be observed by the cell members.
6. Training should be part of Charge Handing over.
7. Repeatability of the out put as per the design should be established by this cell.
8. Final outcome should be minuted and this should be signed off by both Head Manufacturing and Design.
