You must have got the format from others by that time now.

However I am putting this for you:

Always relieving letter heading is : "TO WHOMSOEVER CONCERN " and it should be on the company's letter head.

Then comes the name of the candidate and it goes like this:

Mr ............ who was working with us in the capacity .......(designation) during the period from ...... to .......has been relieved on his resignation, w.e.f. the date of .........

Dear Sruti,

Before relieving an employee, u must make sure that his resignation is accepted in writing. Else, there are all chances of an employee going back and withdrawing his resignation. The same can be a part of the relieving letter also.

The format is given below.

Mr. (Employee)

Dear Mr. (Employee)

With reference to your resignation letter dated ______, we are pleased to inform you that management has accepted the same and accordingly you will be relieved w.r.t. closing hours of the _____ (Date of Relieving).

You are requested to kindly approach the HR Department to complete all other procedures to enable us to settle your account without any delay.

We wish you all the best for your future endavour.
